Coring and cutting The coring section is the first mechanical operation and is done through a specially developed rotating knife that is driven up and down. The coring depth together with the coring hole size is fully adjustable to suit various product sizes. The drilled cores of the bell peppers are pushed out of the knife pneumatically after the drilling/coring. After this, the product is halved with rotating knives or quartered by punch knives. At the end of the process the cored and (cut) bell peppers are automatically discharged. A belt can be used to transport the product and (some of the cores and seeds), to a separating drum.
